Oh, the serenity.. Prepare to be immersed in the love that flows in the morning glory of this High Priestess Josephine. Meander through the rainforest floor and delight in the three levels that capture her ever changing offering. Choose your pool to invigorate or be adventurous and take a slide down the smooth granite rockscape. Or you may choose to discover my not-so-secret yoga/meditation platform rock, to absorb the elements in peace and gratitude. Josephine forever in my heart.

JOSEPHINE FALLS
BABINDA BOULDERS
ETTY BAY

When the stomach rumbles, we’ll make a move and head on to Etty Bay for lunch. A pretty sandy shore to dig our toes into and lay out a picnic rug. Etty Bay is a hidden gem where the rainforest meets the sea and is home to the famous and magnificent Cassowaries. Also known as dinosaur birds. Really something to see!

We’ll make a move onto Babinda Boulders, the town that drew me in and captivated me. We’ll start by making the 600 metre walk through the rainforest floor and stop at various platforms to uncover the sheer enormity of the energy expelled through these boulders. There are no words that truly describe what happens here. Learn about the legend of Oolana who drowned in the then still waters after being chased out by her beloved’s tribe, and whose pain and anguish turned it into the raging torrent that it is today. We won’t be swimming right there! We will then choose our places to swim. There is the main pool which is shallow in areas (great for the littlie’s) and has boulders to swim out to and jump off.

You may prefer the hippy hole or as we like to call it, the whale pool.
This is a deeper pool with "two whales" breaching the surface, or explore the entry point to The Goldfields track.
A pathway of pure raw rainforest gold. Let Babinda steal your heart and resurrect your soul.
